Thumbs Up
Good evening all, and thank you for accepting me to the forum.

I have been a member of a couple of Aprilia zones up until around 5 years ago I came off my Aprilia and left bikes alone for a while.

I purchased a little triumph Street Triple a few years later to build my courage back up but never really enjoyed it but persevered.

Anyway I’m back on an Aprilia Tuono, brought a smile back to my face, and took 20 years off me on my 1st decent run out, Winkand realised what I’ve been missing LOL.

But, as it’s an Aprilia it’s not faultless Angry, and it has the fuel breather gremlin, wouldn’t normally be a problem to change the pipes but this is a carbon fibre tank and the leak is right at the bottom of the pipe and it is surrounded by a large block of resin, quite a large amount, I would upload pictures but I haven’t a clue how to.

Anyhow it’s not something I don’t want to tackle as I’m worried about ruining the tank if I try to chip the resin off. I’d rather leave it to someone who knows what they are doing.

Does anybody know where I could take it to sort it out, I’ve contacted Rich, p3 composites on Facebook but had no reply yet, I know he will be very busy.

I would like to get this repaired ASAP whilst the sun is still shining, any information would be greatfuly appreciated.

I feel a bit selfish posting for advice, especially as it’s my 1st post on here, and I won’t lie, im not that mechanically minded to be able to pass any advice on to others, but I make a good cup o tea and always have plenty o biscuits in if anyone is in the area Big smile

Many thanks in anticipation
I am in the North East Area, if anybody knows anywhere local to me.

Thanks for reply lads, I’m not sure who made the tank, I have googled Carbon tank makers and there isn’t many around.
I’ve messaged Rich on Facebook but no reply as yet.
I’m sure there must be someone local to me who can repair it, I am going to try a place called motorcool near me, I’ll keep you updated with progress.
Thanks again

Welcome aboard, morepower on here is your man as he makes carbon tanks, he's making some for forum members at the moment and also repairs carbon. There's a thread on here at the moment about them in the falco section.
