I have a 2001 Mille. It's lovely red colour, but I had a thought about having it painted in colours like the Aermacchi training jet the Italian air force use with a nice tricolore running along the bottom with the aprilia logo running through that. What do you think?

Cheers. Didn't think of it that way. Wouldn't want to offend the purists out there!
Didn't MV Agusta do a jet bike?

I love those stripes!!
Do what you want! Paint job is a very personal touch unless you're sponsored and needs sponsors names/colours/decals on there.
When I look at stripes I want to see a good "flow" from front to back!
And either in your face or very subtle!
But it's your bike remember.....,

I'd prefer 20bhp. Either way, it's a go faster stripe

My respray cost 850 with BoysToys in essex.  Did not include the wheels.

Full respray.  He wont do plastic tanks unless they have been treated inside for ethanol.  wont do triumphs either, so its not an italian bias.

Well worth the effort...he does a good job.  Decals too. He likes to spray decals as the finish is better.  I got some carbon decal made, but all the others are painted.  I cont show pictures from here, but some might of seen the results on facebook, where I posted them up last October.  Someone might be able to post for me??  I'll try and post later if I get a minute.

hi I think the colours you've chosen  look great,  I've heard mixed reviews on Boys Toys work,  I know of another guy not far from there, his air brushing is unreal and I think he does all of John's of Romford paintwork, so worth a quote and a look at his work, I can get you his number and Facebook page if your interested.  As for wheels, I would get them powder coated,  it's much better than getting the sprayed

I agree.

I do like those that blaze their own trail, with their own ideas and individuality. Put a bit of themselves into their bike, rather than making it like someone else's, or what someone else thinks it should be like.

I remember Nickyboy posting a pic of his bike on FB with red flouro wheels , like a gen 1 Nera. It looked really great. So great in fact, that half of FB now have the same LOL
