Subject: Nearly back on the road

Sunday I finally got around to putting the falco back together after sitting in the garage for nearly 2 years since buying it as a replacement for my smashed Mille but rebuilt that instead and now broken for parts and sent around the world to help others keep there's going ha ha

So just need a front tyre for the M.O.T and I'll be back on the road

Connected a battery and she burst into life ...sounded good with the renegades...yes it's Rob's old bike

the side panels need a bit of white as in the original paint idea below from motomac.it website (http://www.motomac.it/Aprilia%202/Futura_RS.htm), the bike had been low-sided and lost the original painted side-panels so its either going to be some white vinyl or a decal to break it up
the low side also forced the high bar conversion before I bought it ...

Nice one Mark Clap

Looks great with the high bars and Rene's.

I like the black side fairings though, not sure they need to be white....

Question everything.

knowing me being lazy they will probably stay black but may have a decal on them but the gold levers and grips will be changed I think

That's better Mark, the gold did look out of place. I disagree with Diablo though, I think the white as per the original theme would look much better.

Looking good though

yes the gold had to go as didn't suit it one bit....as for the white maybe a full bellypan in white?

See the bike below for the contrast

Also forgot to say I swapped out the hugger for one with a little bit of colour thing is the highlevel pipes block it out!!

hugger decals can be obtained from gary woods aka http://www.rsvr.net/member_profile.asp?PF=7" rel="nofollow - Thumbs Up  fit both plastic and carbon huggers

found some linkpipes and cans in the shed LOL as you do!

so may try those... not 100% on the high levels

Might be interested in the Rene's for another little project, if your getting rid Mark.....

Or the chap Adamantis wanting Hi mount Gianelli's the other day.

Looks so much better without the Puig grips and gold levers!

Is that one of Gary's hugger decals?

I still have you down as dibbed though, if you want Mark Wink

With the bars and high level pipes, I think it looks better than a tuono. Good job there.

Sorry Mark, didn't mean to cap your thread - guess I'm subconsciously inviting mass chastisement so that I get on and fix the thing. In fact if any female members would care to chastise me with bunches of birch twigs ...

Plan is a complete re-frame (thanks to Andi for the new one) and Tourno-ize it (got most of the bits).
A 3-year building project on the house and a bit of open heart surgery hasn't helped. Then there are the other projects (XT500, CD175) which I have to get into shape and move on so I've got some space to work on it, and should I get the SRAD running so I can do a few trackdays before I get too old? Ditto my GasGas engine for a bit of off-roading. What's that? The kids need running somewhere? The business needs a new website and I'm supposed to build it? What about the downstairs bathroom and utility room that I've promised to build? Sometimes I sit here not knowing where to start. So I have a beer instead.
