Just wondered what the difference is when a race ecu is fitted, I have read that it reduces engine braking, just wanted to know what else is effected from people that already have it fitted. Both the positive and negative please.

He's talking about the Rsv4 Mark which has a dedicated race ecu available
To the op, yes it does reduce engine braking, how much depends on the selected mode. R mode has the least.
 
Of the other modes, there is a softer low grip mode and direct throttle mode (very abrupt)
