Guys,
What should I expect in terms of BHP at the wheel of an 04 Factory, I am after the real figure not the optomisitc manufacturers numbers.
I am being told that my bike is giving out 118 BHP at the wheel and want it up at around 135 or so, am I likely to continue to be disapointed?
Cheers.

With some fairly basic mods there seem to be a lot of people posting figures around the 130 bhp mark at the rear wheel.
You'll have seen these loads of times but the usual suspects are:
Open pipes a full system if you can afford. Though lots have people have great results with just slip ons.
Airbox Kit
Map 2
PCIII
A throttle balance is probably a good bit of diagnosis worth carrying out too.
Theres plenty more but that's a good start.
Hope that's of use.

Just got the bike back form PDQ having had the clutch sorted and the old aprilia race pipes fitted with a Power Commander, it dynoed at 121bhp at the rear wheel and 70lb ft torque which appears to be pretty much average, unless you guys can tell me different.
I am hoping to get to Brands this weekend, if it's not to cold and wet, to see what it's like as I still have no idea what I have bought and what a V twin feels like, none the less I am looking forward to racing it next year with NG Road Racing.

Nice step in the right direction for two simple mods. I'd have been tempted to do the airbox & Free Flow Filter before hooking up the PC as well. Remember that any further mods will mean you need to re-visit the PC mapping.
Hope you got a dry day!

Hi Mate,
Let us know those figs, couldn't get on with the relocated m/c and no heel plate by the way so swapped it back to stock with the dealer mod.
still not taken mine to the dyno... time and pennies both seem in short supply at the moment.
Did see some beautifull aluminium velocity stacks with longer trumpets on an itallian site.
Think they were produced for a race series over there, sent them an email in both english and italian but no reply... Any one else have any joy with these, think they were at "Spamoto" or some equally daft named site.
