Is their any plastic weld / glue etc... that could be used to fix a piece of carbon fibre to the underside of the tank, its not to be used on the aprillia and was intending to drill a hole in the underside añd two holes at the top underside to give a larger fuel capacity

You mean where the airbox would sit? Would you really want to trust some glue to hold the fuel above a hot engine and not fail?
For a Heath Robinson fix drill it all round and have a shaped piece with a gasket bolted to it but you'd always have that worry of it failing as the plastic isn't stable and swells due to ethanol in the fuel |

I machine nylon66 and I wouldn't fancy glue anywhere near a petrol tank made of the stuff Still,it could be entertaining I suppose |

In my mx days we used to warm the tanks and pump compressed air into them. You could get quite a bit of extra capacity out of the tank. How well the type of plastic on the ape would respond to that I don't know.
