Being as though my good friend Warren/ Hemi has the copyright on "Ooops and Whoops" I'm having "oh very deary me" and associated words of that configuration or sentiment..... LOLLOLLOL

Soooo... the deposit is down.... It's going through the workshop and having new reservoirs, clutch and belts, it's just got new tyres fitted in pics etc. (you'll see the clutch is out in the pics)

Can't wait to get it home. Heart

I will never get rid of my gen 1, you guys know that for sure.

This bike is for riding not modding. Having said that... I'm going to replace the exhaust heatshield with carbon and the white side covers on the rads that look so out of place. Plus Oberon small bar end mirrors and some rad guards, as they're vulnerable. I think that's it.

Found out I have yet another bulging disc in my back, despite having lower vertibrae fused and a disc already removed. I have to spend as much time on bikes as I can.

One of the good things about this bike for me, is that the seat to foot rest height has much more room. I might be losing my left leg in the not too distant future, as there's not much more that they can do. On the Mille it is as bent as it will go. It won't stop me riding it, or riding bikes, I will just find a way around these things....... But one of the main reasons for the bike is that I've always wanted one and I need to get out of a rut I've been stuck in and esp after my Mum died in March this year. It makes more sense than trying to ride a sports bike all the time and now I have to spend as much time in the saddle, because the reality is, that one day I can't. Maybe sooner that later as we all take our mobility for granted.

I remember the days when one had a 350LC then graduated to bigger bikes - but the point being... a lid/jacket/gloves/ denim jeans and went hell for leather. Yes kids, the way it was in the 80's.

Taking that recipe of not wearing all my race leathers etc on this bike, I have Simpson/Berik jacket and boots/gloves/Dainese kevlar jeans to recapture those days of simplicity regards effing off, just giving it some sh*te and pointing your middle finger at the world, then passivly loving your dear ones upon your return.

So this is the bike for me. I don't want a Tuono RSV4. If I went for another sportsbike, in fact, currently it would be the R1 hands down.

I give you the Ducati 1098S Streetfighter (with the Ohlins, Brembo, carbon and Marchesini forged wheels which all cost 4K more than the base model)

As said, the clutch etc is out at the moment but it's now been promised to fast track it through the workshop and detail it to my exacting standards lol

Rock and roll Big smile

Question everything.

Very nice Rick Clap

Never ridden one but spent a lot of time riding with a mate on a 1098 s tricolure and that bike was VERY capable. It even handled properly after being introduced to Ktek.

I think that's the only duc I could fancy, Mutley's are a very good bike but I could never own a bike that ugly LOL

Nice one lads, knew you could help me spend some money ha ha LOL

Some great comments, gizza go, James whacking off, all sorts lol. I agree with you Warren and Simon about life not being a rehearsal.

David, looks better in the flesh as you say. When they wheeled it out of the workshop, I caught my breath and may... or may not have done a little sex wee. LOL Those curves. It's stance Heart

I kind of felt guilty about buying it tbh at first. But friends and Mari and you guys all say to go for it.

Certainly going to brighten my days a bit for sure Wink

Ian for sure about the Mutley. very capable, but not for me.

Cheers for the thumbs up Adam, Coop and Snowman. Big smile
