Hi guys,

Ive just joined the forum after buying a 2004 nero darkness Tuono from a member on here, Shes my first ever Aprilia and so far Im loving every minute of it.

Im still trying to learn all about these beasts but I know that the bikes got a modded collector with a blue flame end can and I assume a chip tp match (havent had a chance to check yet). It was also serviced and set up by AP in september and it rides very well.

Can someone please tell me how i upload pics?

Cheers,

Alex

Welcome along, sounds like you got a good one if it has the modded collector already and serviced by AP. I think you have to reach so many posts or become a premium member before you can upload pics.

Welcome,

The Nero Darkness - my own choice of Tuono as well - coming on for 8 years ownership so that speaks volumes about the bike.

Not sure how many posts you need before you can put up pics but for a fiver a year its worth the Premium membership as you get access to online manuals etc. quite handy for new Aprilia owners.
As above, a modded collector and AP servicing stands the bike in good stead and you'll love it even more once the weather gets better....LOL

Look forward to seeing the pics

Hi and welcome.
If you upload your photos to a 3rd party site such as Postimage (it`s free) you can share it from there and paste the link into your posts on here. I didn`t find any restrictions for post count, membership, etc. to post photos on here.

Im already in love with it and its the cleanest bike ive owned so far, too clean to ride in the rain!

I had a tl1000r a few years back which i found too cramped for me. It also didnt handle particularly well, but the tuono has the AP rear sets and so far seems pretty good confort wise.
Thanks for the info about membership, il sort that out 2morrow.

Welcome along.

There is no min post count etc re posting pics, it's open to everyone. You just need to host them somewhere and then link them in your posts. The premium membership allows direct upload to the forum itself as well as offering service manuals etc.

The tree icon in the posting window is the button to add your picture links too.

A mate of mine used to have a tl1000r and even with lots of money spent on the suspension (modded forks, WP rear shock etc) it never handled right I think they are fundamentally flawed and very heavy, mega engine though !!

Thanks deloco. Out of interest was this colour a limited run or just a colour for that year?

As far as I know its one of the colours for that year. I can't say for sure but don't think I've seen an 03 in that colour. It was a good mix they put into it - the black goes well with the red wheels.
Theres a few limited edition Tuonos -  the very first 02 models, the Tuono Dark. Then in 03 the Tuono Racing with full extra kit. The 04 Racing without the extras and finally the 05 Factory version. these were all Gen 1 bikes and fast becoming collectors items, especially the first 2 models.
