I f**king love this bike but I feel its time for a change after nearly 3 years. Got my eye on something else so here we go...
2003 RSV 1000 R Factory V5 in my name HPI clear 11000 miles 2 keys OZ forged
lightweight wheels Ohlins
forks, shock, steering damper – 1.0 springs in forks, standard 0.95 springs
included Sebimoto fiberglass bodywork MRA screen Renthal clip
ons Renthal
sprockets (15-44) DID ZVMX
chain Aprilia
Performance rearsets (race pattern) SP
quickshifter Hooked
carbon airbox Full
Akrapovic EVO 6 system – the VERY best available for the RSV and very rare EBC sintered
pads front and rear Venhill QA
throttle Spare OZ forged lightweight wheels with Pirelli rain tyres I’ve owned
her since September 2012, bought as a completely standard road bike. Lovingly
cared for and meticulously maintained since. Fork seals & oil and valve
clearances done by Aprilia Performance a couple of hundred miles ago, along
with a service & tune up. Valves were all within tolerances. Swingarm and
all swingarm / linkage bearings are either new, or have done less than 1000 dry
miles. Oil and filter changed regularly. Not your usual tatty abused track
bike, she’s immaculate and runs absolutely spot on. £3600
without the spare wheels, £4200 with them. Sensible offers may be considered. I can email more photos. |

I'd buy it now but she has already said that 3 bikes isn't going to happen, she would entertain me having 3 to sell 1 but then i am left with the problem of which one to sell out of the 05 and the Haga both of which have had plenty of money spent on them now

No mate. Not got that kind of cash. Not sure where I'm going yet, but I'm fairly certain it's going to be 1 litre and inline 4. Just fancy a change really. Whether it'll be a track bike or a road bike, I'm not sure... On the plus side, if this doesn't sell I couldn't care less, it's such a good bike.

I just hope I'm not making a big mistake. But I keep thinking about a change, and life's too short to mull these things over and never do anything about it. Had her nearly 3 years so it's been a good run!

Lateshift I've seen the bike in the flesh, you wouldn't be disappointed fella , that exhaust is sexy as they come and sounds pretty friggin amazing.. You should get it and maybe over a few months the lady of the house might forget about it or use your '05 as parts to put it back to road spec. Would be one amazing road bike
Mark good luck with the sale dude, it is one very nice bike |

I have seen it briefly already, the fact that it has an Evo 6 system is appealing enough, but my wife is not likely to budge on it and whilst she wouldn't stop me buying it, my life would be hell until such time as either the Haga or the 05 had been sold Both bikes have had too much money spent on them recently and the 05 is currently in the process of having things added on But it is definitely something i am not going to rule out just yet |

Do it Mick, you know it makes sense.... Especially if you're planning on spending money and modding your 05! This has all the bits you would ever want already on it!

That's the thing, i have already spent money on the 05 and am in the process of fitting it all.
Just waiting on a brembo front master and my brake lines to arrive along with the CRG levers and R&G stuff but it's already had an Evo kit, PC3 and quickshifter, 15/42 sprockets, Triumph 1050 calipers and new pads, few new carbon pieces, new Yuasa battery, uprated solenoid, tail tidy, Oberon clutch slave, Brembo clutch master, AP rearsets, carbon hangers........... Don't think i have missed anything :D If i bought that then chances are the exhaust would end up on mine, the forks would end up on the Haga and the engine would be sat there as a spare........ Or the wife would make me sell one!!!!!!! And in reality your one is far too nice to start stripping! |

Ok I see your point now, that's a fair amount already gone into yours. And yeah I did do the maths for breaking it, I'd end up with more than what I'm asking. But there's no way I could bring myself to do it

After some deliberation and number crunching, I've decided the sensible option is to keep her and put a daytime MOT on. Didn't think it would be feasible to insure due to all the mods, but MCE can do it for £300 fully comp. This way I get way more bike miles to enjoy, but still have a proper track weapon to put in the van 3 or 4 times a year. So she's staying for the time being!
