It's the genuine Aprilia cowl. There's a couple of things of note when looking for one. There are 3 different shapes of gen 1 Mille cowl. 98-00, 01-02 and 03 (which is also 03-05 Tuono). Each won't fit the other. On your other post, you said your bike is 01. Is it the same as Si's above (whose is the 2001 model), with mesh side panels under the seat? The reason I ask is often there is confusion as sometimes an 00 is registered in 01 etc. Ignore the decals for now in the images as these also change between years. If yours is an 01 like Si's, you need the middle one in the pics. Although the white numberboards are for the "R", the non R has grey instead. 98-00 shape: 01-02: 2003 Mille (also 03-05 Tuono) There are 2 on Ebay at the moment, though one has gravel rash. |

I don't know, I'll have to check. It's a Y reg and I assume it's the RP model.

Have a look on the back of the engine near the rear shock. Look for 990RP for 01 or later. Post a pic of your bike over on your thread and we can advise on which cowl you need from there buddy

USA bikes may be slightly different , they may not have had the RP engine till a little later through 01 then its RP NG for new gears so it has the close ration box then it moves onto the gen2 RR known as the magnesium engine for the different colour valve /clutch covers etc easily identified by 4 bolt exhaust ME is 98-00 RP is 01-02 NG is 03> RR 04>
falco, futura and caponord each have a unique 2 letter engine designation .
