Finally getting the bike sorted how I like it, including move the rear m/c onto Gilles rearsets etc.

Now, the mirrors are a liability.  Anyone know where I can get some nice looking extender blocks to fit under the mirror stalks, in the hope of seeing Los Federales before they've been following me for 10 miles?

(Not charged on the last occasion, bit of fast talking and they got a shout while I was at the side of the road.  Their major problem was that they'd had the blues on for a few miles.  OK, I should have seen that, but unmarked and no siren, and I was filtering in heavy enough traffic to keep my eyes mostly out front.  The dozy civvies in cars kept getting in their way so that, by the time they actually pulled alongside, they had been 'pursuing' me for miles, and they were a bit hot under the collar that I was trying to "escape".  Nah, just bimbling to work, officer. Why did it take so long to get your attention, then?  Have a seat right here, officer, and tell me what the mirrors do for you, etc.)

Hi there, mirror extenders, I have a 2006 RSV1000R and got my SW Motech extenders from; www.motorcycle-road-and-race.co.uk at £49.04 delivered, well engineered, they don't spoil the bike's looks and are straight-forward to fit. A word of warning though, the "extension" is more in the upward plane rather than the outward plane (about 12-15mm outwards each side). My opinion, a definite slight improvement but, £50's worth of improvement? The jury's still out on that one!

look on e-bay for  " bubseywoo" mirror extenders, the same lad who makes the longer side stand.

they  are nice NC machined aluminium,  with a black anodised finish.

I appreciate all the input but, as usual, I jumped the gun and bought some of the Motech jobbies.  They looked a bit special needs at first, but I'm getting used to the look.

When they don't work (looks like my first ride home in the rain tonight), I might try and make ZX10R or late gixxer mirrors fit.  They stick out like an orangutan's arms.  Something's gotta be done, the stock mirrors are a bad joke.
