...rilia?
I'm talking about "real world" bikes, not stuff like Honda NR750 or Ducati Desmosedici RR... For me it's probably this oneš: |

As for me... Well I've never been a Duke man always aprilia for some reason. I'm on my 4th
I did have a lovely Benelli tornado tre back in the day and would have another if space allowed just to look at My last bike an mv agusta dragster rr was beautiful and had more charm than my ape but I was overriding it and sold before it got expensive... I've heard they are making a new 1200 version though which could bring me over Lastly the bimota they do that looks similar with a supercharged Duke lump - wow if money were no object |

Now that's a question...................
Im going through everything I have ridden , and they all have merits. ...........FS1E / KH250/400 / Z1.......CBX 1000 / CB1100 R / ZX9R / ZX12R / ............. I think the bike that made the most impression on me dynamically was the K5 GSXR 1000. You look at it and when you see the riding position you know its going to be uncomfortable and unforgiving. But you know what ? Its not. I cant believe just how at one I feel with it. It might just be my funny shape. That engine really is something else . Just when you think you have the measure of it you take it to that 15,000 rpm cut out and you realize that actually you don't really have the skills here. That last 4000 rpm from 10-14000......is something else , and yet up to 10,000 you feel you have the measure of it and you understand it. The balance of the bike and the gearbox are just wonderful . Sadly I think the front of it is a bit ugly so not a winner in the looks dept for me. If you could make a K5 look like a K1 then that would get my vote. Thus I think maybe if I had to have just one bike , it would probably be a 954 Fireblade , in white. |

Unfortunately I've never had a chance to ride one, but a former colleague had it and we went to a track day at Rijeka (Croatia) together. He had a couple of Leovince cans that really made it sound glorious. That line, muscular but also elegant, just makes me want one... |

Mate has a k5 and I borrowed it once to go to a funeral on as my bike was off the road, f**king missile and so well balanced and comfy I was seriously surprised until you grabbed the brakes and they were crap, I would have onešBut for me the only other one that could possibly take my rsv's crown would be a 1098rš |

Either a Superduke r 1290 or MT10 sp. A guy picked up his SP today from my work, already fitted with an AR pipe, sounded great.

426 Hemi...............there was a recall for the front master cylinder. If the brakes feel crap it needs replacing. It was all done FOC by suzuki and the brakes are /should be v good once done so don't let that put you off.

Having had 3 rsv's and apes in general since the late 80's i clearly like them but I like the bike below more and would keep it over anything else if i had to have one bike only that i currently own.
I don't have brand loyalty beyond liking a particular model. The moment they don't have an ongoing model for me when i need one i switch. The Ape v4's held no interest to me so i went Duke when i was looking for a new bike in 09. If i were buying new tomorrow it would 100% not be Aprilia, maybe KTM or a Multistrada |

WOW if only you kept it, these things are going up and up and up in mint condition. I loved mine! granted the top end wasn't massive, but through the twisties I kept up with most modern 600's. Incredible when you consider it was built in 1989. Great bike and it just happens to be a V

I love my Tuono but I've also got a real thing for 1199 and 1299 Panigale's but I also would really love a 1098/1198 and in particular an 1198 Corse SE...awesome bits of kit.

Wow! Very interesting indeed! Some of the bikes you mentioned made me go "oh yeah, that one's really cool as well"!
Another one I tested at a launch event at Monza circuit back in 2003 and I'd really fancy is this: A truly savage beast, very demanding but so rewarding if you get it right! And my God does she punish you if you forget to push on the footpegs while accelerating out of a corner! Pull the handlebars and she will furiously shake her front wheel. Many people for this reason fitted steering dampers on it, but I kinda liked this wild side. It really forced you to be 100% committed. Unfortunately nowadays it's quite hard to find a nice "straight" one, as most of them have been through a lot... |

Now that's something you don't see everyday! Nice bike indeed!
I've always wondered: is the tank's shape uncomfortable when you're riding? That "horn" right there looks menacing...

I'm totally with you on this. I wouldn't rule out an RSV4RF at all, Mental bikes but I love V twins. Would love a 1299 before they go all v4 on us as well You can prise my Ape from my cold dead fingers though. It's going nowhere. Well except out with me of course |

A 2016 triumph speed triple, or a super Duke 1290 gt but I don't think ktm are very reliable once the mileage starts clocking up from what I have read on line anyway.
