Not good, however where there are lots of different spacers, errors will be made. The aprilia owners manual doesnt show exploded diagrams (usually a line drawing of the rear of the bike 10 feet away - not good.)
How many bikes are running around with wrong placed and missing spacers ?

I posted my opinion, but that's just mad, they've got away with it somehow, but that whole bike needs careful consideration and scrutiny imo just in case there really is something looming.

fek me,it must have made a right bloody racket!
how long has he been riding it like that ffs before thinking somethings not right here?
not a true biker imo, mess about with cars, odd bodge here and there,
then thinks i know...ill get some sort of fast bike to pose on.

i cry if ive got squashed flies and chain lube flick off after a ride ffs.

only had today out on mine and a full clean and re lube followed, and safety checks before setting off
nver mind metal on metal grinding sounds and alloy dust all over the rear wheel and swinger.

very lucky silly man and poor poor bike.

Fark me Shocked!

Some people shouldn't even be allowed Matchbox toys to play with let alone the real thing

Having said that I know of one person ( and a past member on here ) who took his Mille out for a track session after swapping to wets on wheels and came in wondering what the funny noise was Confused

A quick inspection revealed a spacer missing from the rear wheel. To be fair to the guy I don't think he  personally changed the wheels so could be excused blame.

Once the spacer was reinstalled the bike went straight back out for the next session without any strange noises, although I wonder how long the bearings lasted LOL

When I had my zrx lawson rep, I used to get me tyres from the dealer i bought bike from brand new. Anyways I had a new set and something didn't feel right,  had a mate following me and he couldn't see anything wrong but it felt like the wheel was wobbling. So I took it back and the "technician" asked me who had the wheel off last and he was taken aback when I said it was you lot. Turns out they hadn't put a spacer back when they changed the tyres. Didn't have one in stock so I had to have a courtesy bike off them after they rang round for an hour to get it back off another customer. Turns out that when I bought the tuono off them after (glutton for punishment) they weren't much better at "servicing" that either.  I recommend them to anyone thinking of visiting them in North Wales

😂 yes Ian that wonderful place in Denbigh 😂.  Saw a new z900rs today, and when I saw where he'd bought it from it just laughed and told him I wouldn't touch that place with a bargepole  and good luck with the servicing 😂😂😂😂

LOL

Cruel, but correct.  I really feel sorry for anyone who buys a V4 from them and has to suffer their brand of 'service'

You know their tech's are good when they tell you the V60 engine doesn't need the valve clearances doing regardless of being over the service interval as " The engines nice and quiet mate,I wouldn't bother"Shocked

That's horrific. Whoever did it must have at least suspected they didn't know what they were doing surely? That swinging arm must be distorted to hell now

I suspect the slightly ignorant might wonder and possibly check, whereas the truly, completely ignorant on the other hand would probably not give it thought and just carry on regardless

This was obviously a truly completely ignorant muppet, and I suppose it makes a good case for taking maintenance of critical components out of the public domain just to save the rest of us from the results

Just a pity some of the appointed main dealers are just as inept Shocked

I guess it's like spelling. I'm sure dictionaries are used mostly by people who can spell, whilst those that cannot spell just assume they are correct all of the time.

NB: I was careful to check for typos in this post  Big smile

When I took my tuono to griff for first time, it had only been there 5 minutes and tank been lifted before the first OMG came. Turns out the bolts on back of cylinder head on rear pot were loose. The only people that had touched it before were a+d. That was first of 11 OMG that day

Yep, don't you just hate that? It's the same on just about every page or form you enter details into online and makes you constantly question yourself over your ability to spell. I'm sure over time it actually makes people worse at spelling due to the constant drip feed of false spelling errors.

It's time we all complained to the users of such junk to get things changed.
