I have 2000 rsvr that just went bang ... the story is as follows. Have put SP chip in and sato end can on . Out ridin and she felt bit rough like she warmt firing right and almost a bit rattly ... there then followed a sort of loud pop and she died . Anyway bout ten mins later she started again which i didnt undertand and smelt bit wrong. Managed to ride home bout 15 miles. Still had power but seemed a lot less than normal? Noticed that i now got no oil pressure light when ignition turned on and my oil level is well below the full level now. Can anyone out there point me in right direction as to what night have occured ... please. am now depressed ! [:(][:(][:(]

you could try Don at Southern Cross - he's rebuilt more Mille engines than I've had hot dinners - he knows what he's doing and won't rip you off - SC are based in Kilburn - I'd also recommend BikersWorld in East Grinstead but I know John is up to his ears in work already.

Another to add to that, in fact they were rebuilding one of the BikeWorld engines for them the other day because BikeWorld were so busy, and stopped me shelling out a lot of money on mine for the sake of it, they just got me to buy an 06 instead [:D] [:D] 99 RSV 98 ZX9R 96 ZXR400

Try a compression test, that will tell you if there is a holed piston.
