Hi,
I'm brand new here. I'm a former ZX9R owner (written off a few weeks ago ) I've got around £2-3k to spend and considering a number of bikes, ST1050 (slightly out of price range, ST3, and of course the Falco. The falco is the cheapest, and looks the most fun. I've done a lot of reading around and i'm finding conflicting stats. The main thing for me is that I want as close to 200 miles tank range as possible. The ZX9 failed at that, with 41MPG from a 19l tank. In almost all spec sheets the falco is rated at 42MPG with a 21l tank. Yet I have seen some sheets listing a 19l tank. So which is it. Is it 21l or 19l? Thanks |

That's strange then, as 90% of the reviews and spec sheets talk about it having a 21l tank including a 4 litre reserve.

I think you can expect on average about 120 miles from a full Falco tank. Some manage to get 200, but very rarely! I usually see 145 before my light comes on and I reckon I have another 20 miles before I splutter to a halt. it's very consistent on road rides, but on track you can easily half that distance.

Daphney is for sale. She is one spoilt little Falco. Ask Griff about her as he services at her home address each year or 3000 miles.
Let me know if your interested, but I think you will be hard pushed to get 200 miles to a tank full of fuel with any big Aprilia
