Love the look of these bikes. Not far off the power of a gen 1 but lighter and with more modern geometry. Was watching them looking at weighing the bike to see what they need to do with the suspension thinking they underestimate Aprilia and it's probably not that far off for Lee as it comes.

I would think there will be a few Kawasaki riders who have put £000s into their engines who will be mightly pee'd off that you can now just go and buy a bike that will outpower theirs straight out of the box, and probably run a whole season without major attention.
The fact that it's a lovely looking thing won't help, either! I wonder what the differences are between that bike and the road bike, apart from the bodywork, lack of lighting and the race exhaust? It just seems really civilised...no coughing or banging, and while they weren't saying anything about the power it did sound like it was pretty linear. Probably an easy bike to ride fast without feeling that you are riding fast...polar opposite of a 250cc stroker?

Would be this wouldn't it? ELECTRONICS The bike is available with a full electric/electronic system, but no ignition key is installed and ABS functionality are disabled. The front and rear brake system are simplified and independent braking pipes are used. ABS ECU is still present in the racing spec bike, connected with the main ECU to allow the available electronic strategies to work properly. The main ECU has been reprogrammed for racing usage and the electronic strategies have been developed by ApriliaRacing for this specific racing version of RS660. Engine mapping has been optimized for racing exhaust so that power delivery is maximized. Electronic strategies, WheelieControl/EB/TC are specific for racing usage and can be tuned on different levels. Electronic gearbox assistance in Upshift only is available. No assistance in downshift is provided. TFT color Dashboard is installed and immobilizer functionality is disabled. The left hand side switch panel has been developed to help the riders to apply changes to the vehicle configuration in racing condition. ENGINE modified as follow: No water thermostat, simplified water tubes kit. Right and left sides protection covers by aluminum. Maximum power 105 HP SUSPENSION standard forks with kit cartridge Misano by Andreani. New compression and rebound damping setting and spring preload. Rear shock absorber with hydraulic brake adjustment and spring preload adjustment. CHASSIS lowered driving position. Racing triple clamp with racing adjustable handle bar. Adjustable footrest kit and fiber glass fairing. EXHAUST SC Project with titanium muffler FAIRINGS Cruciata Racing - fiberglass material OTHER Race air filter, electronics and switches. Bike lift stand

I want one! Just under €15000 is very reasonable for a race ready machine.

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left
