Another 2016 RF has come up Big smile
It's a superpole edition, but what exactly is a superpole model?

As far as I know it’s basically a few different decals, possibly wheel colour? and a numbered plate.

500 produced world wide. Other than that I don’t think it’s any different to other RF’s.

17 is the one to go for the 16 has the clocks from 2004 obviously with some minor differences but the 17 gets the tft dash and phone app tracking capability, with telemetry

Why is it so hard to find detailed information on this stuff? The TFT does make the 16 dash look dated in all fairness.

Good point

The TFT dash is great even if you don’t use half the functions. Plenty of info on it

Looks fancy too, doesn't it. I've seen onboard footage on track, is the lap timer like on a Mille (i.e. manually activated by headlight flasher) or is it GPS?

After this information I went to look at the local bike and ended up pondering. So my one swooped in and placed a deposit on it. So not meant to be.

Looking at 2017+ now. A lovely 2018 has come up for sale so doing a little research and noticed that an LE model was available with wings. Were these available on UK soil?
Pictured is a standard RF and an LE model with the wings

as far as i know,
no such RF was made, the RF is already highly limited, and i dont think a limited model of an already limited model was produced, im also looking at the 18 plate,
may the best man win.

It looks like a lovely bike Jim. Seen the YouTube videos? Seems to be well cared for.
Pictures aren't amazing and I haven't got to the point of asking for any or going into detail with it at all.
I need to sell my Enduro first and I don't want to waste his time.  Cry

So if you beat me to it I hope it works out. Plus I'm in South Wales so I need to take that into account.

Can't fault the price of it though.

This is some info I found on the LE model.

Personally I hate the wings, utterly vulgar! Completely spoil the lines of any bike.

Totally unnecessary on a road bike and they've even tried to ban them in racing but have been unable to come up with any wording of the regs that can achieve it.The same with big spoilers on the boot of a saloon car.

But hey I was 18 once and I like them then.  Embarrassed

I understand you and agree to a point.

But it can also be seen as an untapped potential. When you look at how racebikes need bodywork anyway and need a whole host of electrics to do what they need to do, a little proper real world physics would maybe see a physical manifestation and evolution in an interesting direction.

Granted to us mere mortals on the road, and I'm a born again naked raver (lol LOL) it's irrelevent to most.

But maybe now a race rep, will wear them with pride -because it's that.... but a sports bike retrofitted with Ebay wings might become a thing of questionable taste, at least until accepted.
Question everything.
