Has anyone tried gently tapping (twating) the right side engine cover with a rubber mallet and managed to release the oil pressure relief valve.
Before I go and pull her apart? |

Not that I know of, you can be the first to try. If it’s stuck all by itself not from crash impact etc, it’s usually because it has wear issues.

Look at cheesy’s post on his bike build. He lists the part numbers for the earlier version which is the better one.

Might be worth pulling the old one first in case you can clean it up. A bit of honing might smooth out whatever it’s sticking on. I assume you have a low pressure warning ?

Yes i think I'm gonna have to pull it off regardless.
Light stayed in too long at idle last couple of days. Goes out after a whyle no knocking thank God. Got 0 oil pressure when cranking with coils disconnected. I think ill do if properly and pull it off. I know the channel which carries the valve has burs from machining at factory. I'll take them off . See how it goes |
