My 07 RSVR suddenly stopped with no prior warning.
Initial fault finding showed F2 15A fuse had blown.
Stripping down the bike showed that the 4B coil feeding the rear cylinder had failed.
The resistance to earth from the supply side was 0.8 ohm resulting in the blown fuse.

Both ignition leads have a resistance of 5k and look to be in good physical condition.
Has anybody seen this problem before?
I have sourced a replacement part using the Bosch code but am reluctant to fry that until I know I have eliminated the fault.
TIA.

Certainly not common but there have been a few rare cases of them failing and taking out part of the ecu. Aprilia issued a rarely used service bulletin about fitting diodes between coils and ecu to stop any back feed.

Fingers crossed it’s just the coil for you.
