    Posted: 28 Mar 2019 at 09:09
Hi guys,
This morning my 99 RSV came out of the shed for the first time this season and she fired up fine.

The only issue I have is none of the indicators work and there is a loud buzzing noise coming from the dash when I turn them on.

Is this a knackered relay? and if so is it a matter of a new one?

Also relay location would be nice to know.

Many thanks

Thanks for your reply.
Not too good with wiring diagrams lol.
I expect the relay needed is behind the black box to the lefthand side of the dash?
Do you know witch one?
Thank you

Sorry, I din't have time before but it's No. 51 on the wiring diagram. It's a schematic though so doesn't really tell you where it is. Most of the relays are under the cover you suggest but not sure about that one.

It doesn't show as a relay but it calls it a flasher. I couldn't find it at first but all of the relays listed are for other things so I THINK that must be it. Also, it connects to the bar controls and links through to the indicators.

Cant see the whole wiring diagram on my phone but I think you're right Ian. 51 cant be a relay, its only got 2 wires. The point of a relay is it uses a small current via a solenoid, to switch a larger current.

People say I don't know Jack Sh1t; but I do, he lives next door.

Probably? that's what Ray called it anywayConfused

I thought a flasher unit was a relay of sorts but they usually have more than two wires I thought.
