Hi Guys,

After doing a track day at Donnington i've got the bug and am looking at taking my own bike next time. The problem i have is my exhausts, i have an EVO 6 system which is brilliant but very loud, I've seen some figures on forums at over 108dB.

Does anyone have any figures for an EVO 6 system with baffles as mine did come with a set

Cheers Chris

Thanks, that's good to know,

Was that static or flyby?

I went to Rockingham a couplr of weeks ago woth 2 mates on gen 1's,  one with a gen 2 motor in and a full evo1 system, his blew 105db static with no db killers in(it was a 104db day and they let him through)....I was booked on to go but I knew my evo6 wouldn't get through without db killers so I sold my spot as I wasn't going to drill my cans to fit baffles. Mine is a fair bit louder than his was so I'd have definitely failed it.

Yes I guess that kinda fits with the 108dB ish I've seen floating around for these systems.

I'm tempted to buy a dB meter just to check mine as I have the option to fit baffles. My brother is booked onto a 98dB trackday at Donnington next month and has suggested I go but I don't think that's a possibility even with baffles

Yeah, I very much doubt you'll get yours down to that....although I did have a set of Mivv gp's back in the day and you know how loud they are with no db killers fitted, but with db killers in they tested at 97db at Mallory,  so you might just be able to sneak through with a good set fitted🤔

Only a suggestion but you'd be better spending your money on repacking your end cans, i have a gen1 race bike with full akra twin system never hit over 100db on any uk track

I might look at getting them repacked at some point but i think there fine at the moment. To be honest i wasn't going to spend a lot of money on a dB meter, its really just to give me a ball park figure

For reference smartphone dB apps are terrible
