Any way to bypass the immobiliser on a 2008 RSV1000R Factory. Ive had no spark since March and still have not found the problem. Will it still wind over if the immobiliser is faulty? Its a track only bike

Depends if the immobilisor is just rejecting the key or it's internals have gone tits up. The former will not allow the bike to turn over and the key light will be on solid. If the board has corroded it can do all sorts of weird things. Usually the dash key light will do something odd when it's acting up as a clue. Yes it can be bypassed but not so easy to remove it from the loom completely. How to bypass is not in the public domain generally but if you have proof of ownership that match the details of the bike the dealers in the know like AP will likely do it for you. Not saying you would but If we just pass the info on via PM etc, unless we know the person personally, then there is no control as to where it goes from there and the knowledge can get abused. (that has happened already). |

The wiring loom passes underneath the air intake. Once the front fairing is off its worth checking the cables there. I've seen some damaged there and the immobiliser wires are in that whole cluster.
The immobiliser removal is a simple job but as Spoonz mentions you can get it done by a dealer once ownership is proved. My race bike has the immobiliser removed and is keyless

08/09 bikes also had some ecu failures relating to the coils. The coils would backfeed enough current to knock out the coil drivers in the ecu. If you can borrow an ecu it might be worth a try. If it has, to stop it happening again you need to fit some diodes to act as a one way street between ecu and coils.

It has a new wiring loom, crank angle sensor, relays, coil pack, ecu, checked tip over sensor. Its had Axone hooked up and doesn't tell you anything. Dash says 12 , 47 and P99 codes. Waiting on a cam angle sensor
