I had an open (sealed) air box mod on mine and all set up with a pc3 and dyno time, then switched back to a standard airbox and had it set up again and i lost 1ft/lb of torque (so basically zero difference between the open airbox and standard)....
They do make a nice noise though šŸ˜€
Better to have something you don't need than need something you don't have....

Not a big fan of open airbox's myself especially on a Gen2 as they never suffered a particularly restricted airflow anyway. From what i have seen, most don't seal all that well either.

Pc5 will make if fuel better especially noticeable on a constant throttle and it smooths out a bit of a dip in the mid range,.

thank you both for your advice,so thereā€™s no real power gain but should sound better and feel smoother on the throttle

You will get a power gain but not necessarily chunks in terms of peak power. It will boost the area in the midrange where they are a bit leaner for emissions reasons. (usually about 5k) plus a bit more torque.

Worthwhile doing if just for the smoother fueling in town etc, sorts out that lurchy lurchy on a constant throttle. The mid range boost is also noticeable.

Wobbly? loose? rattly?  Not really sure what the problem is

The discs should be able to move slightly on the bobbins in and out ( in line with the axle) but shouldn't be able to move in a rotary sense.

If the disc itself is bent/warped or the bobbins are loose and floppy I'd just replace the whole disc although I think you could get a button kit and try and refurb if the disc itself is otherwise ok

Buttons/bobbins  tomato/tomato  Not sure myself LOL

My bike came with discs like that and it had just been Mot'd without any comment!

Previously he'd nearly rejected my previous bike with far less play in only one disc Confused

I decided they were too worn to use and used the discs from the wet wheels I had for my trackbike

If they are Sunstar disc's then generally have lots of play in the bobbins. Brembo's less so. I remember Garin spotting it on his Sunstar disc's but have heard lots of people mention the same play. Garin had the bobbins replaced on his but knowing now how common it is that play seems fairly normal for those disc's

thanks Ian I donā€™t think the discs are worn as bike has only done 10k,doesnā€™t seem to affect braking,no pulsing etc I will have to keep a check on it
