The station wagons are lovely motors but generally quite rare as they all got used and abused, my father is looking for a 55 chevy nomad at the moment in a useable condition, something tidy but not that clean that he will worry about using it.

Hemi, that is lovely. When something is so nice and hard to replace it will always be a wrench between using it and keeping it right. As you say though they are built to be used, at least on sunny Sundays

Not as bad as the time when I needed some help putting the bike on a rear paddock stand outside. Mari was in a rush (as always and to be frank, had a right cob on). There was me holding the bike up ready -but she only got the paddock stand located on one swingarm bobbin, the left one, nearest me. She yanked down the stand, with the power of the Nordic viking that she is (no she really is -from Finland) Which had the effect of ripping the right handle bar from my right hand -and still clutching the left bar desperately, over we went, sliding about 20ft down a 45 degree grassy embankment, dragging me with it. As you know, I live on the river I kid you not, we stopped short of going in the water by about 1 or 2 ft!!! For me, it all played out in slow motion, but with my sphincter twitching rapidly, every inch we slid We had to lift the bike back using a lorries hiab. On the plus side there was literally no damage to the bike. Just one of the crap indicators the PO fitted to the bike. After a week or 2, we started speaking again. |

I keep saying that it needs one company to corner the market for high quality carbon bodywork for these and other older bikes that other companies can't be bothered to cater for any more, but who could do such a thing 🤔

Totally with you on that, was speaking to a carbon Mille owner from Greece on FB t'other day and we got to speculating how much Sebimoto would want for their tank moulds, now that they won't make them. Wonder if they'd still be ok. |

There is someone wanting to make stuff in high quality pre-preg, but they need to know people will buy the stuff by people willing to put a deposit down on said parts to make it worth while spending out not the mould. Again if you get 8 people willing to put a say a £250 deposit down on say a full faring, I'll quite happily pay to get the mould made. |

I will happily put the money up for a set but as we know to get 8 people for gen1 and gen1.5 is a tall order sadly.
