Hi everyone
Finally got my hands on the bike today! 2005 Rsv factory. Really happy with it but there's a few wee issues I'd like to sort out over the winter. The throttle twist grip seems pretty sticky, tried lifting the tank but that didn't make any difference, so just picked up some new cables as they were relatively cheap. Anything I need to know before fitting the new ones? I'm presuming it will just be a straight swap over? It's the full inner and outer which I bought to (hopefully) save any faffing about. Many thanks Michael |

Hi
It is a straight swap over. Just remember to set the cable tension once you've got them fitted. Adjusters are on the twist grip end. It made a world of difference to my Mille when I did mine.

+1 And when you do that make sure the bike is warm and/or the fast idle control is off as this of course affects it. |

Brilliant, thanks guys for the advice.
I had a the tank up yesterday to have a look around and can see clearly where the cables are. Looks like I'll be able to get at them without totally removing the airbox. |

Tape new cables to old cables and pull through.
usually saves a bit of time routing them |
