Hi guys probably a silly question to ask I've just
Fitted a second double bubble windshield on my 2000 rsv After one ride out only about 36 miles this ones started getting cracks inside all over. Ive fitted it with proper allen screws and rubber screws,the other one I fitted did the same what am I doing wrong I'm not over tightening them Any help appreciated cheers |

Did you wipe it with a solvent after you fitted it? This can cause them to crack.

I have seen brake fluid cause a cracking effect before, it looks like thousands of little cracks, almost like crazy paving.
If this is what you have, check the seals on the brake and clutch cylinders are both air tight and fitted. Also, check for what looks like sweating around those areas, as brake fluid will attract water and gives the impression of sweat beads. Good luck and keep us updated. |

Hi make of screen is airblade the other screen was mra
Have checked brake and clutch cylinders their ok I haven't cleaned screen at all It does look like crazy paving starting all over could it be vibration Thanks for replays gonna be Quite expensive if I get another one |

Mine is a 2000 and I use mra and have never had a problem, my first was on for 13 years and I only changed it because of general wear and tare.

I have a similar sounding'thing' on mine, wasnt there when I bought the bike...I assumed someone had dropped something on it. That'll be the other half...

The mra screen supposed to be shatter proof Just have to wait and see if father Christmas brings me one lol Could put the original clear one back on see if that does the same Cheers dave |

I'm waiting on an Airblade screen coming for my bike so I'll let you know if I have the same problems. Just out of interest which screen bolts are you using? |

Hi I'm using black allen bolts with the rubber threaded screws that they screw into
They are a windshield fitting kit from demon tweeks |

Stress cracks running horizontally in the material are not uncommon, 2 of my 3 bikes have them, they appear and dont get any worse (in my case).
