Is the above uprated battery from AP a drop in replacement for the standard version? Or will I need to make some modifications to fit it in? Also I'm nervous that when replacing the battery my mileage might reset to zero. Is it as simple as ensuring I don't have the key in the ignition when I make the change?

Thanks in advance all :-)

Yes and yes again. Basically keep the key in your pocket until it's in and bolted up . One other thing when you first turn on leave the bike don't start it leave it for at least 15 seconds and turn off to stop the bike going into some odd mode that drains the battery completely. Once you have done that fire her up
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left

Okay cheers. Just to confirm the procedure you mentioned after I've fitted the new battery - put in key, switch on ignition but don't press the starter. Wait at least 15 seconds. Turn off ignition. Then fire her up as normal? Thanks in advance!
