It's a superleggera with some of the bling removed to get the price down to £34k and a tricolor based paint job by all accounts and meeting euro 4 regs (which 1299 doesn't). Expect the oem exhaust to be a munter with an akra option.

No sporting twin will pass the crappy euro 4 polution targets. So expect a lot more 4 cylinder bikes to be made. Even WSB is going against the twins by making cc sizes the same....

Why does the eu want to ban any bikes that don't make euro 4 ? Less than 0.1% of polution comes from motorcycles ! The euro nazis must hate diversity and older bikes....w**kers

Euro 5 is less than 3 years away, then things will get bad for bikes. In France 3 major cities have banned vehicles that don't meet euro 4 from the centre. You have to pay a tax for a day permit to enter if not.

It will only get worse in europe as a whole, lets hope it's one rule Brexit doesn't translate into uk law come 2019.

No V4 news, they are tight lipped but it's scheduled to be at the Autumn bike shows but not in wsb until 2019.

My mate has an old SV650 he uses to commute into London and he's been telling me from Apr 2019 a new Ultra Low Emission zone is coming in.  Motorcycles need to meet Euro3 or pay a £12.50 a day charge.  So thats pretty much everything pre 2007.

The cynic in me sees it as another cash grab from motorists.  I worked it out if you used the bike 47 weeks of the year its £2937.50!  The irony is a a large percentage of us junk the standard exhaust as soon as it rolls out of the showroom.  Although I believe the EU are trying to ban that too.

Going to be lots of cheap bikes for sale in London over the next few years I reckon.

Probably me being cynical in my old age but I would guess that this is just another raid on our wallets while conveniently ticking the ' Green' box

Realistically no reasonable traffic emission legislation will make an ounce ( sorry, gram LOL) of difference in the overall scheme of things whilst major economies are still belching out crap and I can't see that changing anytime soon.

So once again the small guy at the end of the food chain suffers while the the rich get ever richer Angry

And no,I'm not an environmentalist, socialist or any other 'ist  other than hopefully a realist Confused

I just think the world or this country especially needs to wake up and start taking some sort of role in reigning in corporate greed and bringing back? a modicum of common sense before we end up being bent over on an epic scale

I 2nd that Ian...
my mate works for TFL and uses his 2007 ER6 for commuting, it's 1 month too old for the cut off date, he's fuming.Angry
like you say, AF1, bikes don't contribute a huge amount to pollution not compared to the pm's amourplated Jag, that we all pay for.
grinds my gears.
