I had one fitted before but (being a lanky sod) it kind of limited my movement on the bike, now I've altered the pegs and got the new seat I seem to have a fair bit more room so thought I'd give one a go again, just had a little test ride and all seems good so happy days(until it unsticks itself and ends up in a hedge I suppose )

Howdy Geo.
I got those from an eBay seller in the USA but it was back in 2013, I've had a quick look and can't see them still on there but I'll have a proper look later (I seem to remember that they took some finding last time πŸ€”) and see if I can locate them again πŸ–’

It's nice and comfy but very high compared to standard (it's 35mm higher at the back and 20mm at the front) , to give me a bit more legroom but I'm getting used to it now and it seems spot on, the first trackday will be the proof of the pudding

I can't touch the floor with the standard seat no chance with that then.

That is the plan Adam, once the T is done then I'm going to start getting a bit put away and get a dedicated track bike , only problem will be that the T will be so well sorted that I'll end up spending as much getting the new one up to the same kind of spec and then I won't want to use that either .

Hahaha if you can afford it why not its only money. It will be great to get that beast out on track though you will really get to see the full benefits of the mods. Where are you doing the TD?

Well, I didn't actually say that I could afford it, hahaha πŸ™ˆ.... bugger it though, i'd rather spend on bikes than on holidays so as long as I can get a bit put away then happy days .
Not sure yet, my mate that comes on most is on about chopping his 2015 Gixxer thou in for a new one so whether he'll have any cash left ? I love Donington though so i'm hoping to get one booked up there for sometime in May , that'd be my perfect first one of the year but Rockingham or Mallory would do just as good .
How's the house purchase coming buddy ?

Cool yeah I know what you are saying mate holidays are great but you can't beat bikes and track days even better a holiday at a sunny track. If you go to snetterton let me know I'm 20mins away from it. All is going well so far I'll pm you so I don't bore everyone haha.

"That's a lush rear end" sounds a bit wrong doesn't it?

Looks totally fab though Big smile

If you go to Snetterton, give me a shout also.

Be great to finally meet you and Adam Thumbs Up

Haha, well I'm never too proud to accept a compliment about my rear , haha , does look pretty good though , even if I do say so myself , I do think the tail section on the later Gen 2's is one of the best on any bike to begin with mind you so i had a good starting point, was nerve wracking when I initially started peeling off the original decals all those years ago thoughπŸ™ˆ... hehe.
Yes Rick, i'd like to do Snetterton at some point so if I manage to get up there this year then we'll all meet up πŸ–’.
I know a few people say it but we really ought to arrange a forum trackday , even if it was just a case of picking a date on a no limits day 2 or 3 months in advance and just as many of us book up as possible, be a great laugh.

Totally agree about the later gen 2 shaped seat Big smile

Great job with the decals Clap I am totally dreading doing them on mine Ermm I have them here from Image Works (and FB would you believe?). I'll try a small decal first... So long since I've done any. I keep finding excuses to do other bits, to avoid it LOL

I'd definitely be up for a forum trackday (probably as a wimpy spectator though!) and an East Anglian rideout as well. Hoping to watch James and Michaela at Snett too.

Keep us posted, it would indeed be a blast and a great meet up. Let's try and make it happen! Big smile

Be good to see the beast up close!

I hate applying decals, it's gotta be the scariest thing to do with working on bikes, stupid things....I don't think I've done one yet that didn't end up with a crease, bubble or a tear ... the devil's work putting those on so I don't blame you at all for finding other things to do first .

Last time we tried organising one  it ended up just some of us getting together at a No Limits Donnington loud day

Griff and the lads turned up to chat but didn't ride, which on reflection is what I should have done Embarrassed
