Gen 1 versions were, 2002 Tuono "R" Limited, 2003 Tuono Racing, 2003-05 Tuono R (Fighter), 2004-05 Tuono Factory. The Factory was basically the Racing without the racing spares package.
..................................... Edit. For some reason I thought it was a Tuono Factory you were after. I know nothing about any other types of Aprilia's.

If going Gen 1, try to find a late 03R if the budget stretches a bit further. The best Gen1 bar the Edwards or T-racing in terms of spec.
You get all the goodies. NG close ratio gearbox. Ohlins front and rear, but with the later radial front end and brakes. The smaller rear seat fairing and cowl (if it's got one). Plus all the other carbon bits and OZ wheels (in gold I think) of the other R's. Gen 1's came as a base model RSV with Brembo cast wheels, Showa forks, Sachs rear shock and plastic fender, hugger, fairing side pullers, plastic dash and plastic "ears" and an "R" version from 00. Ohlins forks and shock, lightweight forged OZ wheels and carbon instead of the plastic above. 98-00 were small valve and 01-03 were big, only on the ex iirc. Just to confuse us, when the gen 2's came along -the base model became the "R" and the higher spec model became the Factory. |

Question everything.
