Hi guys what's your thoughts on the following?

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172504778978

It looks in good nick with good milleage.

No carbon wings on the front nose cone though, did the early ones not have them?

I`m sure someone on here got in touch to tell the seller it was
a 2000 R and not what he said it was ... I`m sure he said he would
change the add .. but I`m old and one of my years is only 6 months
If you find us in a hedge check the bike first please .. I`m free on the NHS...

This has definitely been done before, someone on here was going to look at it. Think the thread was titled something like 'help, about to do a deal on eBay' or similar

the price is probably at the top for that year but if it's as clean as it looks and low mileage and looked after and it's what you want go for it .

Me I'd try and stretch the budget to a black framed and swinger radial brakes 03 ...I say this and could have done it but spent all the money rebuilding my mille with an £800 front end,£1000 exhaust system ,1060 engine etc etc ha ha

I think you said that before.

I think I'll hang fire and try to find a later one. The ears make quite a difference to the appearance. Cheers all.

That looks a genuine rsvr 2000 model that has had a dual seat fitted.

Being a square I collect the brochures , here is a copy of the 2000 brochure

It has the right brakes the decals are the same and in the right order for the year, the only thing is the ohlins decal is different but could be normal manufacturing changes.
So buy a brochure for the year if you are interested (cheap on ebay) they are wonderful quality !

it may just be a rear seat to help carry something ...it just fits inplace of the cowl

as it doesn't have rear pegs fitted just hangers or it may have had the biposta subframe fitted as well

It has the pegs fitted in this photo, and twin exhausts, the bike is 17 years old so will have had many owners and many modifications, a bit like triggers broom lol

I bought a 2001 rsv r mille 3 weeks ago, no rust or crashes and sensible mods. Just saving for the pipe mod and full service.

Was 10 miles away advertised on Gumtree by a very nice guy who had owned it for 9 years.
There is very little difference between a 2000 or a 2001 etc just buy the best that you like !

Sorry pic of the pegs and twin east of the advertised bike

Looks a stunner, for the price compared to an duc 999 or sp1 you'd be looking at half a bike !
