Sweet I'm 50/50 on that one as I'm trying not to do too many on the road bike but I might do it anyways

Just won myself a free trackday! Entered via pistonheads and they just emailed saying I got it

I never enter anything so well pleased!

MSV just emailed saying its road only bikes so that gives me an excuse to take the Aprilia out round Cadwell and hopefully get a decent shot over the mountain

Hi Birky,what is the static level at Snett? Was thinking of taking my mille soon, Cadwell's my local and it always makes 102 static, so never had an issue - never run it with a std can, it's all set up for the single Akra - are they particularly tight there?

Cadwell is a breeze compared to Snett. Static is 102 but my old track bike blew 101-102 at cadwell but supposedly always 103 at Snett so needed a baffle

My newer track bike blows 99 yet fails drive by without baffle!

I would definitely take a baffle there

Had a good day down at Brands hatch Indy circuit today,the bumps round suertes/clearways are getting worse butt had a good day. Right hand side of rear is on the limit n on the last session notice a noise when braking for paddock hill n pads are on the limit too,DOH! Being to busy to clean the bike since Spain meant I didn't do me pre use checks = DICK

Ive done the same with pads and had the lever come right in from being OK within 2 laps

Those bumps always make me nervous when getting on the gas. I like the track but Indy, even though it's my local is expensive and kills the right side of the tyre

Right on all counts there,it's my local too butt it's the fact they all run 4 groups that gripes me the most although it's my first msv day n the groups seemed smaller.

Well the pads weren't quite on the limit butt a couple of small compound pieces had broken down and then bedded in the flat surface,then scrapping the disc.

Had a have decent day at Snetterton again with MSV and was again not as busy as no limit days there. After consulting Griff I wasn't spinning the rear it was clutch slip LOL
New plates n HD springs on there way to sort that out before the 5/6 June outing @ Snetterton with Stew n the boys. See if I can keep up with a B4 around there on the BB Gen 2

Weather has been perfect for the last few weeks, Ive got Cadwell booked for a 'road bike only' this friday so I thought Id just check, and what a surprise...


I have done 1 full day and one 1/2 day this year and both times it has rained at parts of the day. I dont mind the wet but not on my road bike

They have their own weather pattern at Cadwell,I've been there when it's been hammering down all day and locals have arrived for the evening bash and said it's been fine all day 5 miles down the road Confused

No telling what you'll get from a national forecast so best take wets and the sun screen Wink

Cadwell was a bit up and down today, weather was either spitting or raining but it was warm so it kept drying then would spit again and to be honest it played with my head as I would be going a decent pace for me and have rain drops hitting my visor

I managed one video here https://youtu.be/3pFnln8DhyY Cant knock them new R1M's and ZX10R's...quick bikes! I couldnt hold their speed on the straights anything above 120mph but for a super naked my little ape was good

Only real issue I had was my front brake...its crap, simply put. If you track your bike it fades miserably. Ive upgraded the pads from oem to SA then SC, feel is amazing. Fluid is now motul factory line but 4 laps into a session any late braking is heavily reduced

Couple pics when it was half dry...Im back on the 3rd July if anyones going from here?

You need to get some narrow track sbk spec Brembo stuff like me mate, you'll have no fade or feel issues then lol

I'm going to try the master cylinder first, if not I'll go your route but Brembo SC pads are excellent and the power was great... The lever just kept coming back more and more each lap

Yeh mate and I'm not exactly going mental. My gsxr track bike was the same though. Braided the lines, decent fluid and pads and fitted a accossota master cylinder. Even with the pants tokico calipers it was 95% fixed so I'm sure £150-200 should sort my Aprilia

I've moaned about the brake since I've had it. Probably the bikes only weak point in my opinion. They are powerful but not if repeated several times and they can be a little inconsistent too
