hello all,
Have looked at some topics about changing the side stand on some aprilia's, Fireblade stands being used. Has any one out a shorter stand on their RSV4? would like to hear your thoughts.

had a nasty accident a couple of years ago, and one of my legs is still very week. so i need to lower my RSV4 so stand will have to come down as well.

The stand appears to be made of cast aluminium alloy, is it OK to weld this up? and would.I have to worry about it cracking in future?

It can be welded but needs a bit more expertise than basic steel welding.
