Yep, they're in the post. Delayed due to Xmas post I guess as they should have arrived today.

This is the HID kit I bought (dispatched from UK):

I've just gone onto my purchase history for info on the LEDs and ebay have put a message up saying they've had to remove the listing, no idea why. I checked tracking and the bulbs are in transit, so no idea why ebay removed it.
However, I searched and found exactly the same ebay ad here, I guess the company just changed their name to get round whatever the problem was...pesky Chinese!
Also, my order came from UK and these are dispatched from Hong Kong.

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-7-5W-Lens-Build-In-Chip-White-Cree-Q5-H7-Car-Led-Bulb-Fog-Light/322780431266?epid=2270611410&hash=item4b273683a2:g:iaEAAOSwLApZyLeo
(No idea why this wont link, you'll have to cut/paste)

The HID and LEDs I ordered are 6000K; I decided to go this route because 6000K is closest to sun light, lower goes to yellow light and higher goes to blue, which I didn't want.

Must admit it was one of the first non-perormance mods (and there hasn't been many) I did after riding at night and realising how poor the standard bulbs are with the HID you can squirt corner to corner as everything is lit up so well

Project falco is getting 2 projector lamps with HID kit in a numberboard style clockcover fairing thing

So...the LED bulbs never turned up as those t**sers at Yodel tried to deliver them to the wrong address 3 times and then sent them back. I got a refund.
Today I wheeled the bike out of the garage and had a look at the HID and it looks very good.
However, now noticed the 1 candle power parking light looks bloody horrendous next to the HID.
Anyone replaced this with a LED bulb, if so, recommendations please; I can't get to the bike's fairing atm to take it off and check what bulb to fit.

Steve, the little pilot bulb is a simple W5W wedge fitment. Very common. I used an LED Canbus free bulb from eBay, loads available. It matches up with the LED high beams and dipped HID very well:-

Hi Steve

I can't get up to the bike container in the snow on crutches Shocked

But these are very similar to what I've got. I think mine may have 6 smd's facing forwards. If you can wait til tomorrow when the snow has gone, I get some pics of my spare bulb

No problem chap, no rush.
All the one's I looked at appear to say not for external fitment, only internal lighting.
I presume officially they're an MoT failure, ever had any problems?

I had no problems personally, no mention on it, or the led high beams. They did pull my leg a bit over the HID low beam and it's cut off point/level, because I'd previously asked them about it, before the mot -so I could change it for the mot if need be. But it was minimal and they passed it no problems and no advisories other than exhaust excessively noisy. Big smile Different mot places may interpret regs differently I suppose, but it helps to take the bike to a tester who is a biker and knows how important being seen is, I reckon.
Question everything.

I'm not seeing motorcycles mentioned in the proposed new amendments specifically. Just classes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7. -Which are all 3 or 4 wheeled vehicles, with motorcycles and sidecar exempted from the 3 wheel categories.

I can't find much on it tbh. Looked at the Vosa pdf in the link's link (below), and it seems to just mention those classes.

http://greyhead.co.uk/other-things/are-aftermarket-hid-lights-legal-uk

So not sure on that, or if it affects bikes. Most of what's talked about in the link is about cars.
Question everything.

You could be right, I'm going from a post put up on AP's fb page.

If it is going to be a hassle trying to pass with an HID fitted, takes 5 mins to remove the bulb and fit a cruddy yellowy Halogen, then remove once the test is done. That's my plan anyway. Wink

I've got that kit Colin, can't fault it other than locating the ballasts. I used heavy duty Velcro and put them down either side of the fairings.

IF I was to do it again I would probably run with the CREE headlight bulbs for how simple they just plug into the original loom.
