Can anyone point me in the right direction to get some guards for the radiator? Was considering making some from mesh has anyone done this? Also after some smoked headlight covers. Prevention is better than replacement I think. Cheers

I got some Trackday Tyres rad guards for Gen1 I couldn't find any others that looked light weight.

It looks like a good kit including everything needed to fit them (lock wire, cable ties and instructions).
Not fitted yet though!

Here's their Gen 2 version:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aprilia-RSVR-04-09-Factory-Radiator-Protective-Grille-/371512242436?hash=item567fdaf104:g:s0IAAOSw7FRWWEBF

A little expensive for what they are, but made to order. I went for the electro plated plated gold as once powder coating gets chipped it can start flaking.
Question everything.

BA  - the Guards in the link are the ones that I have on my bike and have lasted very well over the years.

I think that I bought my headlamp protectors (clear ) from Powerbronze not cheap but have served the bike well .

Just got some covers from a brittish company based in Andover for 15.99 I'll reserve judgment until they arrive. Looked at the rad guards 50quid is alot for a bit of mesh. I have a set on my other bike that I'll probably take off before I sell it to save a few pounds.

fleabay mesh and skidmarx in Weymouth for light covers where I got mine from. Tinted light protectors look but thats all if you are using them on the road. I've got clear ones for the road.

I read something somewhere, about getting some gold mesh from B+Q, or somewhere similar, and cutting to size, then lockwiring or cable tying to fix.

R&G rad covers on my RSV, there was a bulk buy on RSVZone at the time. My Tuono has got slightly different ones, a stamped sheet rather than mesh with the T logo in the middle of the rad one. In shiny chrome finish, which is a shame on a matt black bike, but they were on it when I got it and it doesn't bother me enough to change them. I could get them refinished I suppose...

Prsv they arrived a couple of days ago but I've not fitted them yet. Seems decent thick plastic and I offered them up and they looked about right but they need to go behind the ears so I'm assuming that you need to take them off to fit them. Planned on doing it today but I have problems with my other ape which has taken priority. I'll post a pic soon as I get round to fitting them.

Cheers mate but don't worry, they must be different to the one I've bought. Had another quick look earlier and they will go on when lined up properly without touching the ears just.
