Removed the headers tonight, had to lift the tank to get at one of the rear nuts. Was dreading it as was expecting the usual fight to get it back down and to my amazement it sat straight back down exactly as it should?!?! Is this because of the mild winter or just a spot of good fortune?!?!

Tiz the work of the devil... Burn it! Heh heh! Evil Smile LOL

It's certainly good whatever! Are you using "super" petrols? Thumbs Up

Do you empty the tank for winter?

-if it's being difficult, I get the front bolts in but loose, and use a screw driver or drift through the opposite side of the rear, to gently ease it into place and pop the bolt in.
Question everything.

Always super unleaded and leave it half full with fuel stabilizer in. Normally it's a proper fight and yeah loosen the rear mount which I've already slotted the holes on but today it just went up and down as Aprilia intended!!!

Heres a choker. Never had a problem with my Gen2 but lifted tank on the mighty Tuono V4 last weekend & it took me nearly an hour of cussing to get the fecker lined up again. That ain't coming up again in a hurry.

It's horrible when they don't go back isn't it!! It's like trying to get a tuxedo on a snake, forcing opposite ends to do opposing things at the same time!

I'm surprised by that

I'd have though that they would have cured the tank swelling problem by the time the V4T came along.

I was told the new Duc's have treated alloy tanks now?   Would have thought Aprilia would have done the same.
