In that case your best bet is RAF Valley on the 5th & 6th April,as it's more user friendly than your average ACU circuit event.
Plus you get all sorts from small 2 strokes to Hardleys & supermoto's all out for a good time, last year there were even a crew of instructors riding round keeping the new and nervous safe.
Did I say it's cheap as well?

Sorry that should have read Buell don't know where Harley came from.
It's amazing the range of bikes circulating in the Novice group, everything from 125 race bikes up to Gs's with panniers moving along quite nicely.
You've not seen Steve Parrish showing what a Hardley can do then?

Did you see jeza mcwilliams riding one in that bsb support series a couple of seasons back? Now that was a seriously abused tractor. Love to know how much work they did to it after every meeting. Saying that, I had a Buell xb 12 before I got my Touno, loved it to bits, till I caught my reflection in a shop window, bloody small bike, looked a right wally. Really sweet handling bike, just not enough top end. Out with mates on jap bikes and they're long gone on any sort of long stretch of road. plenty of grunt though, did a conti road attack in 1100 miles. Must take these rose tinted bloody specs off!

I was going to ask if I could bring a +1 along as well
Also, what do you all do for insurance if you take your road bike? If I've still got the CBR, think I'd rather take that than my shiny new Tuono

There are companies who will insure you for trackday use but IIRC last time I looked it was around £120.00 per track day, this was a while ago so it may well have changed, I've never bothered and usually use my road bike and try not to crash.

As to what bike you take it doesn't mater as long as yr familiar with it,you can then concentrate on the riding and enjoying yourself WARNING. If you do enjoy the trackday, don't blame us for making you want another bike or more money for TD'S etc!

Hmm, would probably defo take the CBR then so I know the Tuono is safe Got a 2 week trip to Germany planned on it in July so don't want to go binning it
I don't need any encouragement to spend money on bikes, believe me!

I'm guessing it's going to be Donnington as it's now Monday and that has won by three votes, so it's down to when?
Come on Griffmiester, do your stuff, or you could just ask the TDO what's available.
Will the date bring another poll?
we need to be told.

The tdo's haven't released days after April yet so I'm guessing we have to wait until they make more days available so there is a wider choice of days to pick from to suit the masses.
