Hi all could anyone shed some light on this problem please?I rode for just over an hour yesterday all seemed fine, stopped for 30minutes.Got back on the bike,it started fine, the first time I opened it up it stuttered about 7k so I changed up.The problem then got progressively lower down the Rev  range.Eventually it wouldn’t pull much more than 2.5k revs without dying on me.it lost power completely a number of times on the way home but always came back. I stopped completely 3 times and the bike started ok on the button, any information greatly appreciated thanks πŸ‘

Always worth a clean out. Have to take the tank off and take fuel pump out.

I'd suggest getting a multimeter and checking the reg rec outputs and all the brown connectors from it. I think all the gen2 tuonoonly have one right by the reg rec whereas the early gen2s had one there plus one in the centre of the V.
Also check the white plug in the tail unit that goes to the starter solenoid.
All of these can run fine when cold but as they heat and start to swell or even melt the bike starts to struggle

Oh just a thought. Oil pressure switch can make symptoms like this also. Check wiring to it. Right hand side around same level as the reg/rec on the tuono gen2. It could be a faulty sensor if not loose wiring. If someone local has a bike you can pinch it off give it a try πŸ‘πŸ»

As I say this is what ended up on my bikes but you may be able to just screw a new cap on your leads?

I seem to recall that like the battery leads the standard HT leads feel like wet spaghetti though so not sure if it is possible.

I think they do,don't remember doing anything unusual anyway,it was a couple of years since I fitted them to the T

At least if you do replace them it's one thing that should be trouble free whatever else happens.

Hopefully even if your connector is ok this will have isolated the problem to the pump or wiring to it.

It is very easy to pull on connectors accidentally while lifting the tank and also pinching things on refitting it

Well all seemed ok until I had done about 20 miles and then the original problem started, bike didn’t want to pull more than 3.5krevs my first thought was loose fuel pump connections but this was fine when I got home.Tried to scroll through and service menu for any clues the dash is now stuck on reset Service with the neutral light on and ignition off bike starts and revs fine sat in neutral.Anybody got any ideas ?

Have checked reg Rev brown and white with multimeter and all give a reading on constant voltage mode, oil pressure sensor (just behind rear brake cylinder with one black wire?appears well connected. The white plug in the tail unit?does that come off the black box on top of the battery?cannot seem to get multimeter in there I pulled apart the connector but think this is not for starter solenoid because the bike starts with it disconnected
