Had the bike at work, temperature seemed to increase really quickly, fans eventually came on at 105 they normally jickin at 96. It started to run really rough, caughing cutting out, back firing ect, sounded hellish too.. any thoughts guys

might be fuel pump. They usually act up when hot when they are failing. That would also lean out the fuelling which will make it run hotter.

Cheers for that spoonz, I'll give the shop a call  tomorrow to confirm, that's the first outing since the Scottish ride out and a fairly spirited 370 miles..

No but I'm now thinking a blown gasket on the rear cylinder, not going to get a chance to do anything about it till September either

Had a quick look under the tank to see if there was anything obvious well there was, this hose had came off the bottom of the air box  to the rear cylinder which explains a lot..it's a bugger to get back on though, the hose has hardened over time,..

looks like the crankcase breather. That vents to atmos anyway so other than spraying a bit of oil about it should not affect the running if it comes off.
