Got the rear BST carbon wheel in yesterday, New Pirelli Diablo
Supercorsas with Brake Tech disc, Racetorx chain adjusters (modded swing arm for RSV4 adjusters few years back) and Giamoto
titanium axle nut (not done up, waiting for 44 tooth Talon sprocket).
Caliper bolts, pinch bolts, bleed nipple etc are Ti. Hel brake lines I
will change to Venhill for the dry link couplings. Also chucked on an
RSV4 rear master that I gave a bit of a polish.
Pretty pleased with myself lol |

Stunning d, be careful which disc bolts you use as it can mess with the speedo sensor.

Hi Rik, looking sweet my friend, bet you're itching to get the front in as well now to see the overall effect, was thinking the same thing about the disc bolts and picking up the signal from the speed sensor. May I ask what method you chose to remove the material from the swing arm/bobbin mounting area to enable the fitting of the rsv4 adjusters as have been toying with this as well. Would be great to see the bike in the flesh if Phil's b.b.q goes ahead and we are both able to make it

Thanks Warren, Mark, Adam and aaressveeguy well happy with it.
The disc bolts are standard, but like new, the speedo sensor being the reason. aaressvee, yes every panel is carbon, including a very lucky find of a cf tank last year. I don't have any photos of it in it's most recent incarnation, but I'll get some up when I can roll it out into the sun next. Mark, I'll pm you. |

Ricks are not racetorx items and to get year ones to fit meant using a power file to remove a small amount of material 1.5-2mm I think ..to allow them to fit

Oops, I've been rumbled ha ha Patience lads, I don't want to post old pics of the bike that aren't relevant anymore and it's too close in the bike container to take full pics. When the front's on and she's off the Abba stand, I'll get some outside. When Photobucket pulled the free hosting, my build thread lost all it's pics. Then one of the dogs sat on the keyboard and managed to delete a whole folder of those pics from my pc. The next big thing, as soon as the current jobs are done is putting that gen 2 1060 motor I've got in. Been umming and ahhing for too long, as I'm getting quite disabled, so I may well be chucking it at someone I know. It really pains me to do so, I've always done all my own stuff on all the bikes and cars I've ever had. But I'm going to have to swallow my pride and admit to myself with grim acceptance that I am a raspberry living in denial and open my wallet a bit wider. Bah. All I need is the motor physically putting in though. I'll do the rest at least. Mark (Redders), I had some Lightech adjusters before (bought some generic cheap ones for setting up and modding), but I have changed those ones to these black Racetorx ones from Dale James. I can tell you the quality is way above the Lightech. |

James cancelled the order, because the tolerances of the gen 1 arms are all over the place, so for gen 1's there is no one size fits all solution. I thought about offering an exchange service on modded arms, but decided that if something were to go wrong with one ever, then I'd be taken to the cleaners. |

Pure indulgence I know, but I didn't want to spoil the bike for a ha'penneth worth of tar....
Black Brembo M4's Black Brembo P4 34 Supersport rear caliper Brembo RCS 19 brake and clutch masters, with a short lever for the brake. Been told a RCS16 is better for feel? Might swap it, not sure it's going to matter. More pressing is that I will probably have to go back from the Oberon to the stock slave cylinder to use it? Brembo smoked reservoirs Still waiting for front Brake Tech discs in the post and something else a little bit special The coloured Ti bolts will be replaced with polished Ti (don't know what I was thinking...) Because I lost all the pics on my original build thread -when Photobucket pulled the plug, I might post the odd random pic of other bits from the build on here and maybe add some info of whats gone into it On another note, does anyone make Ti rear spindle/axles? Hopefully some pics of a complete bike soon |
