Bit of a long shot this one - not even sure if they are available.

Looking for flanges for a Gen 1 system (3 bolt) that are connected / retained to the downpipes by springs. I've got a set with G2 4 bolt flanges but looking for the 3 bolt type.

Cheers

get a grn1 flange go chat up you friendly water jet cutter man and get some made then welded ontod some small lengths of tube
Know I didn’t know you’d bought a gen2 system let’s hope it clears the oil cooler and the rear fits through the swingarm ok
Oh and the left can will stick out further

Its not a Gen 2 system, its a Gen 1 system but the engine had gen 2 heads - hence the 4 bolt flanges. The bike it was fitted is a Gen 1 and no problems with fitting or clearance.

I have two sets of Gen 1 flanges.

An Arrow set (brand new) , and a Tig craft set.
Message me if you are interested.
If your Gen 2 flanges are in good shape,  I would be happy to do a straight swap.

Bill.

Del,  if you are in need of a unmodified front Akra Gen 1 header tube to make your conversion easier with the Akra Gen 1 flanges, just drop me a line. I have one.

Hey Bill,

Thank you for the offer but I think I should be good. Downpipes and flanges in at engineering firm at the moment to try and get the flanges to fit the oval headers. Previous system owner also sent a pair of unmodified Gen 1 header pipes in case i went down the route of needing welding work done. But for me, getting the flanges from you to fit is a better option.

Did my ones ever arrive to you?

Not as of yet but I am guessing in the next couple of days.

Came across the Akra front header in my assortment of parts, thought I would mention it as an option.

Cheers Bill.

Hi Bill,

Definitley slower going West than yours were coming East. Did you check the tracking details ?

I didn't realise they were Akra headers you had, I just got basic Tuono ones In case I needed to butcher them. Front header nuts were a pain - one was fine, one came off with stud attached and one needed the chisel on it. Any socket I tried just destroyed the edges a bit more. Rear ones next - they look mint but reaching them is the biggest pain.

Cheers

1/4 drive socket set is the easiest I've found for the rear header pipes.

LOLLOL - I'm sure you're right but the flanges I got are even better than tinder.....probably. They're certainly harder to get access to.....and just as capable of destroying nuts.

Del,

The flanges arrived on Tuesday, missed the post at the house.
Picked them up at the post office today.

Cheers Bill.

This sounds like a continuation of the Bothel/Brothel story...

Nice one Bill, glad they arrived eventually. Hope they are suitable for your plans.

All the best and thanks for your help with my own ones.
