Right chaps long time no speak.
Just to let you all know that the batch of plates for Gen 2's that I had made are now gone. Out of all the sales there was only one disgruntled customer so not too bad. A case of function over form as they were never meant to be a cosmetic item. After substantial outlay to get these made for forum punters I will not be going down the same route again. As these were made and sold with no intention to make any profit I find myself with a surplus of £54.98 (from 2013) that I will split 50/50 with Northwest Air Ambulance and Cancer Research both of which I have supported for some time. I will still supply the custom made PTFE washers if required to do so as I still think these are still a worthwhile addition to the dog bone area. These washers, as most of you know, fit Gen1, Gen2 and V4's both RSV and Tuono. Take it easy guys Laters SPOOKY |

Hey spooky,
Any chance you could share the plans for the kits so we can make more? Obviously on the understanding that noone can sell them on? Thanks

Hi Elliott,
Sorry Bud I don't have any plans or cad drawings for the plates. I think I'm right in saying Ian G has a set of drawings in his man cave somewhere. I gave my laser cutter contact a set of the originals and he took all the measurements from them and cut the blanks. They then went on to a vibro deburring firm, then an engraving company for the directional arrow, and finally on to another firm for the hard anodizing finish. Obviously this took quite a bit of time, money and running around to get them sorted and to make them cost effected everything had to be done in bulk. The plates were then passed on to interested forum members on a non profit basis, even though a small profit was made over a three year period this has been distributed between two charities that I support. As I have mentioned in a previous post I'm still going to supply the PTFE washers if anybody wants them but if somebody wants to pick up the mantle and get a batch of plates made up to sell on I personally don't have a problem with that. Best check and get the all clear from Griff to make sure everything is sound before you go ahead though as they will almost certainly be sold through this site. Thanks Guys Laters SPOOKY

Seeing if we can do something with AP/Griff to have some made. I have a diagram with all the radius on it etc. Will see if the numbers stack up.

Do you still have a copy of all the stuff you send me years ago?
If not I've should still have it somewhere,I was always wondering about making some but gave up the idea when I realised I'd never have enough free time without involving the firm I work for. We buy in laser/waterjet cuts like this all the time but I was wary about involving them and losing control of the outcome I doubt the wisdom of making more than a couple of dozen sets at the most though |

I probably have somewhere but if I need them and I haven't I'll let you know. Quantity is likely to be the issue as to sensibly price them I suspect you would have to make something like a 100 |
