Griff now makes stainless steel ones, also Kev only stopped getting the plates made,I think I'm right in saying he still has PTFE washers.

Spent a while reading into this issue across various forums with no clear cause.

My 07 factory has slight play at the front dog bone bearing, Looks freshly greased (Bike is new to me - barely ridden as cracked ohlins forks and currently arguing with aprillia over this!)

Is there a UK source of uprated link plates?
Also could I have some of these ptfe washers, i can see as my bike sits now the dog bone is hard up against the r/h link plate.

Thanks all

Thanks John for the heads up, much appreciated.

Spoonz is right, my batch has expired and as far as I know Griff is making and supplying plates. He also does a complete bearing and pin kit should they be needed.

Washers I'm still doing for Gen 1, Gen 2 and RSV 4s all models.

They are a bit more expensive than the eBay ones but they are made to measure, not like the ones on there, and are made from high density PTFE.

I'm away in London until Thursday so if you can drop me a pm I can get it sorted with you on my return.

I think the gen 2 link needs to be a service item.

You can see how much weaker the gen 2 links are ! Surprised there has been no product recall in the usa (or are old bikes like white goods in the usa ?)
sooner or later so one will be killed if they break at the wrong time !

My Smaltmoto plates are made from steel instead of aluminium, bit heavier but I preferred the extra strength after all the horror stories and our pothole strewn roads.

Haha, you need a hole on these flipping things, if they were solid they'd knock 5 bhp off ..

They do 2 sorts as well, standard or those ones that raise the rear up (which is what I've got), tips in a treat now😎
