I know its been asked lots of times but my 2002 rsvr has a 42 rear fitted with a 525 chain what is the best sprocket sizes to use ?

I just bought a Supersprox kit, with DID chain, 16/44, 525.
They recommend you go to a 110 link chain, from the standard 108. I believe it will fit, but it'll be up to the stops on your adjusters. |

I'm 15/42 atm but I got a new chain of uncertain length and cut a couple of links out so I don't know now how many links without counting them.
I'm now thinking about going back to 16 front and a choice of 44/45/46 rear instead as the 15 is really too tight a bend over the swing arm guide. (I think) |

yeh u want 16 front and a 42/43/44 rear look on a gearing calculator to see top speed versus acceleration trade offs

just fitted 16 on front with standard rear and what a difference! feels like a differant bike and wheelies better ;)

Just fitted 16 front, 44 supersprox rear & 110 did chain, all fits great and still plenty of adjustment left.

std on gen 1 was 17 front rsvr came also with 16 for racetrack use

i bought gold x chain with 16/ 44 from busters ebay site less than 70 very good but right up to limit on adjustment

company called Busters Motorcycles Accessories in Swansea. tel 08442488185
£69 for 110 link chain
And my sprockets from TWS GB Ltd in Ledbury: Tel 01531 631266, they are an approved Supersprox dealer
Rear sprocket£37.46 Front £7.95 plus VAT.
I've posted a link in General Chat with them on, look awesome.

Not as jerky at low speed, and always seems to be in the sweet spot of the rev range.
Feels like you've had an extra helping of power!! |
