Can't help with getting it cheaper, but I have heard literally countless horror stories about MCE, all good and well (and cheap) until you need to claim from them, just something to bear in mind.

I have mate who was with MCE he crashed his bike and they could not have been better. They sorted collection from Cornwall and had it delivered to dealer near his home Bike sorted. I was with them for 3 years but No claims.

I really think all companies are the same, Some bad and good stories. My worst company was Swinton, who struggled to help me even with a No blame accident. Some say Carole Nash are crap? so what do you do. Go with MCE if the quote is good. Thousands of bikers are with them. Cannot see a problem

I was with MCE for the last 3 years then they put up my policy, Carole Nash did it £200 cheaper. ?? how can that be.
I bet you when I check this year MCE will be cheaper than Nash. NO rime nor reason behind it.
These companies are mainly Brokers, I was with Swinton one year but Insured By Eagle Star, renewal was way over the top, went to another company saved mega bucks and Guess who was my insurer Eagle Star. SAME BLOODY POLICY

cheapest thing to do is stop riding on the road and go track daying/ racing (might work out dearer in the long run) but i cant afford £5000 to insure my rsv after a fault claim :( it was £700 ... i am 22 with 6 points and a pretty unlucky history XD

I also second this about MCE. My mate was dealt with very well.

They (MCE) insure thousands of bikers they cannot be all bad.

That rich chap martin lewis reckons you should change everytime. I went through a different insurer the last three years saving each time so there is some truth in that. MCE offered the cheapest until we added the extras, cans etc.
Bikesure was cheapest this time and before that went through express insurance. MCE do offer the best freebies chucked in on average, like breakdown, legal etc. All the bloody leg work looking about though bores me. Go with best cover you can afford of course.
Full comp was £220 for mine, £67 TPFT!!!!!
