Just fitted new CT's a few weeks ago, not really scrubbed yet but feel good now..got them for £158 delivered from national bike tyres. had a pair of Pilot road 3's on the last blade and they were astonishing, not cheap though

2CT's have been on all my bikes and they are ace. Pilot Pures are very similar but noticeably lighter. Pilot Power 2CT's are fantastic value now, so I'm getting those next time. I have Pirelli Diablo Super Corsa's of some type and I hate them. As Stevezx7R mentions in cold and wet not so good. I can't feel mine at all in cold and wet!
Tyres however are a personal choice. Had 7 rears and 3 fronts of the 2CT's so they are my preferred choice. Pilot Road 3's are tickling my fancy, but they hard to get at a good price. Dunlop's possibly worth a shot with the Sportsmarts if anyone has had a crack at those? Much better than the Dunlops of old.

Run Dunlop Sportsmarts when the pocket allows, have done track days on them too. quite possibly the best tyre's I have used for a long while, but maybe are not too good on mileage compared to the more "commuting" orientated tyres ?

Sportsmarts for me at the mo, agree with Kiwi and to add, they are not brilliant cold.
I prefer the Bt016s out the box.... on track the dunlops amaze, really amaze.....and run loony low pressures on the back too 26 hot! |
