I fitted these at the weekend:

They are stupid loud with the baffles out but too quiet with them in. I'm going to modify the baffles to make them a bit louder with them out. I reckon cutting off the bend in the tube will have the desired effect.

OK, after a few rides I've decided the following:
Baffles out they are "ello ello ello, race pipes on the road sir? That'll be a £30 fine" loud.
Baffles in they sound like stock so way too quiet.

The stock baffles are a bore reducer with a bend at the end so I was thinking of cutting the bend off which should increase the volume a fair bit. So, I called up Mivv to ask how much a second set of baffles was just in case I screw it up and need some new ones. THIRTY NINE BLOODY QUID EACH!

Sod that, so I ordered some 2.5" baffles from ebay to see what they sound like.

Since posting this I've fabricated a new bracket that hangs the pipes from the subframe. This removes those ugly brackets below the pipes. Looks way better now.

I decided to just run without the baffles. It's well loud but I like the tone.

The V-twin tone is lush. Not a sound you can beat in my eyes apart from my crf450 I had mmm lol!! The first picture with them I wasnt so sure.. But with this new mod to make them tidyer feck me there stunning... What's the idea of fitting these? Are they a simple link pipe swap? Or is it link pipes and shorted cans?

They are "off the shelf". I think they are normal Mivv carbon cans with special link pipes.

Haha, yeah. My garage is a bit of a tip. Bits of car and bike all over the place.
I plan to sort it out in the summer.

What would I need to change to make these work on a Gen1 Tuono?
