ladeez and gents , its seems i may have made a bit of a discovery...

its seems we may have been paying quite a lot of money for big bore kits in the past needlessly..

were just finishing of a big bore kit for a good customer of ours, who has inadvertantly helped us stumble across the money savings....

This is a factory 04 in resonably standard trim that weve fitted a bore kit too and the results are stunning , the bike started with approx 126 and is upto 140 so far....the clutch is slipping at 8000rpm badly and we cannot map the rest of it with that happening, so Dean is over there as i type fitting a new clutch.so far weve got 14 BHP increase... i predict 145 plus at the back wheel.

i reckon if we could save 500 quid of the job it makes this a job that within reach of a hell of a lot more of us!

your thoughts guys??

Griff

right update lads and lasses!

its seems the standard clutches are having difficulties handling over 140 BHP
so were working on sorting that problem first before we can give an accurate price on the finished job...drive in drive out!

as for the cost savings weve got lewis out the back modifying raleigh chopper rear hubs as the measured up around the same size!

let me assure you no compromises have been made in quality of components or build.

ill keep you all updated!

when i put the kit on mine i got 147bhp and the clutch wouldnt hold so i put a barnett in and after a short time that let go so i fitted a surflex clutch kit and this holds great it's just a bastard to get out of 1st gear but the frictions are different from standard so i dont know if i can do anything about it?
