Hi , I have a 2000 rsv mille it was chipped for a Akra race can but that has since been totaled in a crash so while Im rebuilding her ive replaced the can with a Mivv gp round db out , taken the air restricter out of the air box installed a K&N filter , would I benifit from a rechip ? the rest of the engine ect I think is standard.
Cheers Jafa.

I don't know what they are like if I am honest ?
I think they also made EPROMs for cars So it may be quite generic ? How does the bike run ? Does it feel flat until say 7k? I have seen a few EPROMs that do nothing more than raise everything further up the rpm range ? Let me know if you want to try one of mine . You would also need to make sure the daughter board is removed with your existing EPROM :-) Cheers Ed |

I have one of their chips in my A4 2.5 diesel and it works very well. Plus 30% torque in the mid range and plus 25% power in the mid and plus 15% max power. They are pretty much market leaders in cars but I think the RSV was the only bike one they do when I was looking.

The daughter board is the one that the chip sits in on top of the main board ?
Power wise - not much and very jerky till 3-4 then grunty till about 6 and then a flat and linear till 10 where it tails off , what do you think ? Cheers Jafa.

Really hard to tell mate? Don't sound right it should pull strong from 6k The low down judder will be the throttle bodies requiring a sync & CO setting up This makes a big difference. The higher issues you mention may be the fuel map on the ERPOM Impossible to know for sure. The green board that sits between the EPROM and the socket is a copy protection daughter board it must stay with the EPROM if you remove it. My EPROM fits direct to the white socket on the board. fitting it to the daughterboard will fry it. Hope this helps a bit ? Cheers Ed |

Also forgot to mention The only real way out of the flat spot between 4-6k is a collector mod or full system Then the correct EPROM to fuel the changes. Well worth it IMO |

Yeah that sounds the way to go , will have to wait though as the bike is in the middle of a main frame replacement ( found crack in weld below head stock ) got a used one on ebay which im picking up tonight for £100 fingers crossed its strait and true - and the fairing and tank is mid way through a total respray by a friend of mine ( though hes got me doing all the prep work , I now have arthritic fingers and wrists due to all the sanding ).................... So correct me if im wrong , £160 for the collector mod - RSV-00 model ? £40 for the Fozza chip ? £ ? how much to have TB's sorted once the rest is done. Current state of mille before engine drop and frame replacement..... Cheers jafa

Everything you're saying is very familiar.
I've had a Redrat modded collector, Forza chip, TB's done , and also had a hooked airbox fitted, all at the same time. It's now a completely different bike, feels like it's gained extra CC's and totally linear power delivery. Also judder free around town. Worth every penny IMO |

Yeah thats what I thought , also bent the steering stem which was weird but didnt bend the forks or damage bearings although it did crush the right side fork internals , it was a mad moment when I decided not to scrap her and claim on the insurance but go for the total strip down and rebuild , with luck I should be refitting the new £200 squid frame today which was kindly delivered yesterday by MC motorcycles in person , will post a pic later of the cracked weld if it ever stops raining.
