I agree, that's what I did, and dropped mine, but they agreed to repair it cause they agreed it should not have basically disintegrated on impact. Top customer service that.

If they can't fix it they may offer a discounted replacement ... They did with my phone even though it had taken me 8 attempts at throwing it down the road to finally break it :)

Bunged the chip in last night and hit the wonderful roads of West Wales today..........
Totally honest opinion....... Best mod ive done since having Griff to do his stuff on the Tuono balance TB,s etc. Some background on the bike would be blue flame evo can ap evo-kn induction set up nothing spectacular but is the bike better for it? definitely yes, mid range feels stronger, top end more aggresive, just feels more sorted generally ie pulls well at sub 60mph in top where as before she would give that v twin shunt ,cant help thinking that all these mods im doing is to bring it back to more like an in line 4 (previous bike being an r1) but having ridden a honda 4cyl yesterday ive now realised that the priller is far more urgent, more interesting, more organic feeling. And in a car park full of perfectly great Japanese bikes,i get a great feeling inside when i fire up the Rotax no gsxr sounds like this! So thanks Ed this is the best money you can spend on your Ape period!

Ed,if your chip brings the trim pots back into play what happens if I put one in and the pots have been tweaked all over the place ??? (Just another interested punter who may get one off you)

Hi Les
Normally they are all over the place on chips where they are not active above a certain RPM range. Or locked out completly On mine I have a base setting that works quite well You reset your bypass screws & trim pots to 12 oclock You also check the TPS sensor Running my Eprom with the trim pots set way out may cause lean or rich running as it will affect the fueling over the whole range. After you follow the simple steps you should have a nice idle You can then mess with the TB / Trim pots to set your CO levels You should not have to venture too far from the 12 oclock position I have base set my RSV & it runs bang on Have not yet bothered with the CO as I do not have a meter. I have no low RPM judder whatsoever I will have the CO checked next time I see griff |

Well I ordered a chip for my 2005-reg Falco with K & N filter & GPR cans. Previously it's been running an RSV-R Pro Chip and I've been unhappy with the elastic band feeling to the throttle and the flat spot at around 5,000 rpm.
The chip was posted the day after the evening I ordered it, and it arrived the following day. I fitted it yesterday, using the clear instructions that came with it. I am pleased to say I managed not to cock it up and the bike started as normal. Was it revving more responsively as I blipped the throttle, or was I imagining it?
I took the bike for a good run today to a cafe called the Super Sausage, which is a reasonable ride from where I am in Thame - certainly as far as you'd wanna go in summer gear. At all the times the bike felt either as good as before or better, specifically:
- More responsive
- Flat spot much less noticeable
- Will now wheelie off the power in second much more easily
- Will now wheelie off crests when you crack it open in third, before was too slow to respond to throttle inputs
- Stronger top end - it's still pulling very hard at 10k rpm
I am convinced these are all real differences and I am not just imagining it! I am really, really pleased. Edited by MrIncredible - 14 Oct 2012 at 18:52 |

Glad you are happy more happy falco riders make for a better world ... Honest !
I have fitted mine today (sorry ed for the sprocket based slight delay) and am comparing ed"s to dr Rossi and gabro over these weeks ... Why because I can lol ill let you have my feedback over the week but in simple terms just based on dr Rossi so far would I fit a chip to a falco is it worthwhile in relal world terms ? Hell yes !!! |

Yes what you feel you do not imagine :-)
Gains on standard bikes are with the ignition tables and Smoothing out the fuel curve You can notice it It does make more power and feel much more refined ! The bigger gains come with things like full systems or collector mods And open airkits 57mm etc etc As you can add even more fuel and tweak here are there For the money my EPROMs cannot be beaten :-) |

Kris usually sending as a gift helps but you may need to check your local regs as the US are funny about exporting PC based stuff they may have a similar attitude to imports.
Just to update from way up the chat I happen to have a dr Rossi a FA, (ed"s chip) and a Gabro chip and am just running each one for a week or so each on the Falco so ill start a separate post shortly with my summary. Suffice to say Ed very good first impressions from me I should point out all I've never actually met ed LOL |

Charges are based on the value you place on the parcel
The gift tick box makes no difference whatsoever Been caught out in the past buying expensive stuff from the us |

I have been reading geoff's thoughts on assorted chips at ridersite - and this is one on the radar so to speak
I think we need to have a scientific day with a dyno routinely, I suggest the gabro chips to folks - but am open to others LO oh - BTW I am known to do the odd mod on falco's - and have tried a fair few chips in the past - BUT I doo happen to have a full renegade set up on my little scooter :) (I seriously would recommend that you get hold of some of the renegade chips to have a look at and copy / clone - the earlier ones were better i believe
